Hello Horizons

Language and accessibility

Hello Horizons LLC is improving access for visitors who use different languages, keyboards, screen readers, larger text, and reduced motion. We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a technical target. This is a progress statement, not a claim of full WCAG or ADA compliance.

Choose your website language

The selector at the top of each page includes English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, German, Portuguese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Greek, Arabic, and Thai. The site remembers your choice in this browser. English is available at any time.

Core navigation and selected interface labels have built-in draft translations. Longer untranslated text remains in English and retains an English language label for assistive technology. These translations still need qualified language review. Course exercises and legal documents keep their original language.

Optional on-device translation

On supported browsers, the language notice on public pages offers an optional button to translate the remaining public text on your device. Your browser may need to download a language model. If this feature is unavailable, the built-in interface translations and translated overview pages still work. There is no third-party page-translation widget sending your account, lesson records, or form entries to an external translation service.

A universal cloud translation service is not connected. Full-page translation in every browser, every destination dialect, translated course instruction, and certified translations are not available. Machine translations can make mistakes; do not use them to reinterpret payment amounts or contractual obligations.

Keyboard and display support

Work still needed

We still need a complete audit with people who use assistive technology, screen-reader testing on desktop and mobile, review at high zoom, language review, and testing of future avatar lessons. Captions, text alternatives for teaching audio/video, accessible assessments, and verified parent controls must be tested as those features become available. An accessibility menu cannot replace fixing the underlying pages.

Report a barrier

Tell Hello Horizons which page or task was difficult, the device/browser and assistive technology you used, and what would help. Do not include a password, tax ID, bank details, or a private learner transcript.
